NEW ZEALAND PUBLICITY

NORTH LONDON EXHIBITION i I'lio.M Ouu Own Cobkeshonuekt.) LONDON, October^. The Government Publicity Department and the Dairy Produce Board have combined in an exhibit at the North London Exhibition at Alexandra Palace. They have arranged an excellent stand 35 feet in length, the Dairy Board occupying the centre and the Publicity Department , the two winga. Displava of butter and cheese have been arranged by the board, and samples of both are being sold throughout the 20 davs of the Exhibition. Special attention is given by the Publicity Department to the tourist traffic. A feature of the decorations arc the coloured photographic enlargements of New Zealand scenery. There is a good show of deer heads and stuffed trout, and the slogan is particularly stressed that whereas the English £1 is worth 12s in Europe, it is worth 24s in New Zealand. The High Commissioner had been invited to open the exhibition officially, but knowing he would still be on the Continent on the date in question he had to decline. Mrs Ewan Wallace, wife of the member for Hornsey, will officially open the exhibition to-morrow. Alexandra Palace is the centre of a vast suburban district, and the publicity given to New Zealand produce and tourist facilities is amply repaid. A section of the entrance hall of the \ High Commissioner’s Office is now being devoted to a permanent display of tourist literature, with an attractive diorama of Wanganui Biver as a background.
