The monthly meeting of the Waikoualti School Committee was held on Wednesday evening, Mr Andrew .Fell presiding. The headmaster (Mr Hind) reported aa attendance of 42 children at the dental clinic, and ; a daily . absence from school through sickness, measles, and severe colds generally of over 30 children." The suggested date of the school 'concert and prize-giving, December 18, was approved. Congratulations were offered to the headmaster as the success of school representatives at the recent combined school sports, and accounts of £l6-passed for payment. There was a large attendance of resh dents and friends at the funeral yesterday of Mrs Snook, who died in Dunedin Hospital on Monday after a very short illness. The Rev. Mr- Potts and the Rev. Mr Geimuell officiated at the graveside.:;
