Hall and D. Gould, and two Victorians, P. Perry and H. Hopman, will contest the squash rackets semi-finals. In the third round yesterday Hall defeated N. Carlyou in a hard four-set match, 9—l, 9—5, 6—9, 9—7; Gould defeated R. E. Schlesinger, 9—7. 9—4, 9—7. BOXING AN OFFER DECLINED. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, October IS. (Received Oct. 18, at 5.5 p.m.) Bishop and Morgan declined the National Boxing Club’s offer. The National Boxing Club asked Morgan and Bishop to fight again on November 5, when, if their display was satisfactory, they would receive their share of the takings which were withheld owing to last Monday night’s contest being declared “no fight.” The public would be admitted free to the next bout.
