There is adventure awaiting some boy in the Cleveland district of North Yorkshire. Mr J. A. Villiers, owner of the sailing ship Joseph Conrad, which is to leave in October on a two years' round-the-world trip, lately .informed Lady Pease, the honorary secretary of the Eru ployment and Training Council, that he had a vacancy for a cabin boy " for the grandest voyage a boy ever had." A list of twelve candidates was recently drawn up, and the lucky one was to be chosen by Mr Villiers. He intends that the vessel shall be used as much as possible for the training of British boys in the art of seamanship.
