FASHION HAS NO AGE LIMIT
“ Fashion knows no age limit,” said Mr Frank Chitham, chairman of the Summer School Committee of the Drapev|’_ Chamber of Trade of the United Kingdom, when speaking here of the increasing fashion consciousness of women. “ Mother and daughter are often indistinguishable from the fashion point of view,” he added, “ and one is as tastefully dressed as the other. Even grandmother is by no means out of it. “During the past few years there has been a growing demand for sports garments, even in dresses and so on, froma class of people which only a few years ago knew nothing of them or, at least, did not use them. . “Another great change is the acute fashion-consciousness of women to-day. This lias been fostered to a very large extent and developed by the well-informed fashion articles which appear in the national press, and which real by hundreds of thousands of people. “People of all ages and classes read them. The time is past when fashion is merely, the interest of the few. It is now theHimversal' interest, and we find the customer who wishes to pay only a modest price for a dress is keenly sensitive and well-informed as to fashion, which knows no cost barriers.”
