The Court of Appeal in Loudon has upheld the decision of a King’s Bench Divisional Court that the half-hour extensions for licensed premises during the summer time, which had been granted by certain seaside towns in Sussex, are illegal. The Government is considering the desirability of introducing a Bill to regularise the position created by the judgment.
