AUSTRALIAN TOUR ENDED EASY DEFEAT OF NORTH OF SCOTLAND (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—-Copyright.) LONDON, September 14. In the last match of the tour, the Australians defeated the North of Scotland at Forres by an innings and 20 runs. It was a happy day's cricket of the village green standard. The umpires wore plus fours. Seventy minutes sufficed to dismiss the North of Scotland side. It was the lowest score against the Australians of the tour. The batsmen were extremely nervous, despite the fact that none of the bowlers was trying very hard. -The whole affair was quite absurd from a cricket point of view. The Australians opened bv sending in the tail first. After O'Reilly had hit four sixes, Kemp dismissed M'Cabe and Bradman with successive balls. The innings was carefree, and lasted only 85 minutes. When Scotland batted a second time M'Cabe kept wickets instead of Barnett, who opened the bowling, but the Scotsmen fared little better. Following are the scores:— NORTH OF SCOTLAND. First Innings. The tour should yield a total of £26,000, representing £31,000 in Australian currency. WOODFULL TO REPORT TALK OF BROKEN FAITH. LONDON, September 4. The Marylebone committee to-day discussed leg theory, but according to the Sketch the discussion was strictly informal, and for that reason no statement was issued. The paper adds: "There is no doubt that Woodfull will take back to Australia a strong report on Clark's bowling at the Oval and Voce's bowling at Nottingham, and Marylebone is well aware that it has 'broken faith' and that there is a charge to answer." CHAMPION COUNTY v. REST LONDON, September 14. The champion county, Lancashire, in their first innings, made 206 (Duckworth 69; Bowes four wickets for 73, Verity four for 50). The Rest, in their first innings, have lost no wickets for 75 (Walters not out 51), LONDON, September 15.
