MR WALLIS MYERS’S RANKING
LONDON, September 13,
Now that all the international events on which classification is based have ended, Mr Wallis Myers ranks the first 10 lawn tennis players in 1934 as follows: Perry, Crawford, Gramm, Austin, Allison, Wood, Menzel, Shields, Stefani, and Boussus. He says that Crawford may still be a greater artist than Perry, but the latter has proved himself in better condition, richer in stamina, and a greater fifth set fighter.
