YOUNG SWIMMERS
SUCCESSFUL NEW ZEALANDERS

At the swimming.sports of the Chatham Junior Technical School a few days ago the competitors were divided into their houses of New Zealanders, Canadians, South Africans and Australians. The most keenly contested event was the Interhouse Relay Race, which was won by the Canadians, with New Zealanders second and South Africans third. '
Austen, a New Zealand boy, was champion for the meeting, apd the New Zealanders gained the highest number of points for the whole meeting. Their successes were:—-Walshaw, first in Novices; Austen, first in Backstroke; Edwards, first in Diving; Austen, first in Any Stroke; and Austen, first in the Length. The points gained were:—New Zealanders 35, Canadians 27, SoutJ? Africans 22, and Australians 11.
