SOUTH OTAGO
BALCLUTHA ' Recently two dogs belonging to drovers were poisoned on the Balclutha-Tuapeka Mouth road. Whether these valuable animals picked_ up the poison from a paddock adjoining-the road, or whether death resulted from eating poisoned i-rabbits is not _ known, but drovers and farmers travelling stock along this rpad would do well to be careful of their canine assistants.
