SNOW IN THE NORTH
HEAVY FALL IN POVERTY BAY. (Per Umted Press Association) GISBORNE, September 12. A snowstorm of unusual severity has swept the hill country surrounding Gisborne during the last 24 hours. Heavy falls of snow are reported in various parts of the district, seven inches being recorded at Tiniroto. It is not known yet to what extent the early lambs have suffered.
