BRITISH KINEMAS
ADMISSION MONEY PAID INTERESTING FIGURES (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, September. 11. ; (Received Sept. 12, at 5.5 p.m.) Figures relating to the kinematograph business in Britain were given at a British Association meeting at Aberdeen, and revealed that the public paid £40,200,000 for admission to British kinemas last year, the entertainment tax revenue amounting to. £6,700,000. Of 476 imported films registered for distribution in Britain durjpg the year, remittances to the United States in respect to 330 of them, representing 90 per cent, to 95 per cent, of the value of the total imports, amounted to £5,300,000.
