LABOUR DAY SPORTS
MEETING AT OTAUTAU The first sports meeting on the Southland athletic calauder is to be held on the Recreation Reserve, Otautau. under the jurisdiction of the Otautau Athletic Society on Labour Day. The prizemoney totals £125 in cash and includes two New Zealand championship events, 190 Yards’ Running and Mile and a-half Cycling. The tracks were highly commented upon by visiting delegates to the annual meeting of the New Zealand .Amateur Athletic and Cycling Union held at Otautau last year. This year they have been top-dressed and are at the time of writing in an excellent condition. The officials are leaving no stone unturned to make this Labour Day sports eclipse any yet held by the society.
