DISASTER IN ARGENTINA RIVERS OF BLAZING OIL (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) CAMPANA (Argentina), -Aug. 28. Six oil tanks belonging to the National Oil Company blew up to-day, killing three people, injuring four gravely and about 90 less seriously. The damage is estimated at nearly 3,000,000 dollars. FURTHER EXPLOSIONS PANIC AMONG POPULACE NEW YORK, August 28. (Received August 29, at 10 p.m.) At Campana 14 more huge oil tanks exploded early to-day at the works of the National Oil Company, a subsidiary to the Standard Oil Company. A change of wind is spreading the devastating fire that threatened the city of Campana itself. Blazing gasoline is slowly spreading down the river to the city, 'causing fresh panic among the populace, which already had started to evacuate the area. Four people were killed by the original explosions of. 12 large tanks, which shook Campana and its neighbouring villages for 30 miles around, while two - are missing.. Twelve'suffered serious injuries, 70 were treated at hospitals, and some 200 others received treatment at their homes and drug stores. While firemen from Buenos Aires, 40 miles away, and other nearby cities battled to quell flames which leapt from veritable lakes of oil and gasoline and spread over Campana, the adjoining Parana River, and nearby swamps, marines aided policemen in their efforts to evacuate the residents from the town.
