TARANAKI DEFEATS MANAWATU (Per United Press Association) PALMERSTON N., August 29. Outclassing the home side fore and aft, Taranaki trounced Manawatu by 36 points to 15 in a representative Rugby football match. The tourists had a three points’ lead at the interval, the home team having held them well. After the resumption Taranaki ran through repeatedly, scoring with great freedom. The visaing forwrads gave a most convincing display, making the defeat more crushing than that suffered at the hands of Hawke’s Bay a month ago.
