% Air J. G. Alexander returned to Dunedin by the north express yesterday afternoon. Air R. Hudson was a passenger for Christchurch on the pouth express yesterday morning. Air A. Al'Donald, who came to Dunedin owing to the death of his mother, returned to Wellington yesterday. Air T. R. The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Liverpool, Dr Downey, has accepted Archbishop Mannix’s invitation to visit Alelbonrne for the Eucharistic Congress, and will accompany the papal legate, Cardinal Macßory. Dr Downey, who was appointed to the_ episcopate in 1928, and is engaged in building a new cathedral at Liverpool, is regarded as one of the foremost ecclesiastics and writers of his church in England.
