CONGREGATIONAL MEN'S LEAGUE
MONT LILY M EIOTIN G. The monthly meeting of the Congregational Men's League, held last evening in Jubilee Hall, took the form of a “ladies’ evening,” a large number responding to the invitation to be present. Mr IC. G. Hoy. the president, extended a cordial welcome to the guests, and announced that the Otago branch of the Federation of Congregational Women had in return arranged to entertain the members of the Men’s League at a date to be fixed. After hearty community singing an interesting programme of concert items was presented, the session concluding with supper and a vote of thanks to the ladies. The programme items included songs by Mr G. Butler, Mr L. Abbott, Mr V. B. Smith, a cornet solo by Mr F. Wheeler, a dulcimer solo by Mr .1. Tonkin, a flute solo by Mr J. Connor, and a recitation by Mr K. E. Wilkinson.
