July 31. | An epidemic of burglaries took place at Kelburn during the week-end, a grocer’s shop in Upland road and three private houses in Raroa road being visited. Mr P. R Hazelwood, grocer, had £l4O taken from a safe, and a small motor ear was stolen from Glen road, but was recovered undamaged. Yesterday houses were visited and ransacked, and small sums of money were taken. i
