. The fortnightly meeting of the Royal Oak Lodge was held last Monday, A.D. Bro.. W. Hudson presiding over a fair attendance. More sickness amongst- members was reflected in a large increase in sick pay, which was the heaviest for some time. The lodge decided to. enter for the-Efficiency Competition for this year. During.the evening two candidates were initiated into the mysteries of Druidisni on behalf of Mistletoe Lodge. . The proposals of the B.M-A. were again considered, ;and the lodge affirmed its satisfaction with the present. system. Arch Druid Bro. A. M'Cutcheon presided over a, good attendance of members at the meeting "of the Lily of the Valley Lodge- on. Wednesday. >Visitors included Bros. After the business was completed a vice-arch competition was neld. Bors. A. J. Metcalfe. J. B. Welsh; and S. A. Workman acting as judges. Seven competitors came forward. Bro. A. T. Workman was declared the winner. A'.'D. Sis. Thompson presided over a large attendance of members,of West Harbour Lodge on the occasion of the presentation of the Ross-Stewart Shield to the West-Harbour ladies', who were successful in the recent competition. Among the visitors present were Grand President Bfo. Ruston, accompanied/by G.G. Bro. Johnston and the members of the board. Districts, Presidents Bros. Rundle . and Metcalf, Royal "Arch Druid Bro. Morris and -members of the chapter, and the donors of the shield (Bros. Ross and Stewart). A.D. Sis. A.' M. Slater accepted the. shield on behalf-of the team, and Bro; Morris, who made the; presentation, congratulated the ladies on their performance.;' G.G. Bro. Johnston presented an enlarged photograph, of the ladies' frpni the male, members of. the lodge to the A\D. of the lodge to adorn the walls of the room as, a' memento of their, meritorious win.
