CENTENARY AIR RACE
AN ENGLISH ENTRY NEW ZEALANDER AS PILOT I Peb United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 27. Mr H. D. Gilman, of Auckland, formerly a lieutenant in the Territorial Forces, is believed to be an entrant in the Centenary Air Race. Mr Gilman went to England some years ago and joined the Royal Air Force, in which he is now an instructor.
Writing to a friend, he says be has been chosen as the pilot of a de Havilland Rapide plane capable of 200 miles an hour. This plane has been entered in the race from England.
