STRIKE IN DUBLIN
NEWSPAPER EMPLOYEES STATEMENT OBJECTED TO DUBLIN, July 26. (Received July 27, at 5.5 p.m.) The city is without newspapers ns :he result a lightning strike of compositors and linotype operators, who objected to a statement prepared for publication with regard to the Irish Transport and General Workers’ Union. The strikers include machine hands and other employees, who are demanding higher wages and shorter hours. Hope for an early settlement is believed to be slender.
