“ Central Reader."—A record of all marriages Is kept In Wellington. A copy of the certificate of any marriage can be obtained from the Registrar-general’s Department, Wellington. The cost is 2s 6d per copy. If the date of the marriage and other particulars are not known, a search fee of 5s is charged In addition. In a case as indicated in your Inquiry the charge would be 7s 6d. B. P. —The performers in " London Wall ’’ were not those who appeared In “ Gruach ’’ when the Repertory Society was awarded the A certificate In the British' Drama League’s competition. A, L. L.—Miss Jean Batten was informed In Wellington that the Government had decided to make a grant of £SOO to her. The grant has not yet been voted by Parliament. The money will be retained by Miss Batten for her own use.
