PRISONERS SENTENCED. (Pm United Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., July 27. In the Supreme Court to-day the following prisoners were sentenced oy tlie Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers): Stanley Keith Swan, for negligently riding a motor cycle thereby causing death, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if, and.when, called upon within a year, in addition to watch no was disqualified from obtaining a drivers license for this and the following three years. His Honor said that if the pelson killed had been a pedestrian or one of the persons in the car with which he collided, nothing would have saved him from a sentence of at "least a year. Robert Donaldson, for breaking ana entering and theft, was sentenced to 12 months, with hard labour. William Murphy, jointly charged with 1 homas Joseph O’Shea, with breaking and entering and theft, was sentenced to 12 months. O’Shea to come up for sentence within 12 months if called on. George Milner, for attempted indecent assault on a. male, was ordered to come up for sentence if called on within two years, and to pay the costs of the prosecution (£l6 15s) within three months.
