Remains of what is believed to have been a huge undersea forest have recently been discovered on the west coast of France, between Flamanville and Rozel. Enormous tree trunks, some of them 60ft long, have been found with traces of foliage still recognisable. Some experts say they believe, that these finds constitute part of the legendary forest which is said to have joined the Channel Islands to France centuries ago.
