Over 500 people attended the funeral of Norman Clapham—“John Henry,” the former radio “ star ” —in Streatham Park ceuietery a few weeks ago. Among those present were two sisters of Miss Gladys HorridgC, who, as the second “ Blossom,” was John Henry’s broadcast partner, and whose death preceded his by a few weeks. The remarkable discovery of a natural cave abode of a primitive man of the stone age has been made in Russia in the neighbourhood of Kharatoul. on the slopes of the Caucasus. The cave, which was found at a height of 250 ft up the mountain side, contained numerous flint and bone implements and the fragments of skeletons of huge animals, such as the primitive bull and the cave bear.
