July 2«. - (Received July 26, at 10 p.m.) ' While the fighter stations were enshrouded in mist and places were not allowed to leave the ground, raiders from the south successfully “bombed ” the Marble Arch during the continuation of the air manoeuvres. Another squadron failed to attack-an imaginary chemical headquarters owing to the interception of fighting planes. Night attacks included several big towns. JAPANESE MANCEUVRES ARMY AND NAVY” PARTICIPATE . TOKIO, July 26. (Received July 26, at 10 p.m.) Spectacular three-day air defence operations will be begun to-day in eight prefectures for the purpose of training the military forces and civilians to resist a hypothetical enemy’s aircraft raid on the industrial heart of the country. The army and navy will participate.
