LOCKHEED .PLANE TRIED OUT GREAT SPEED ATTAINED SYDNEY, July 26. (Received July 27, at 0.30 a.m.) Sir Charles Kingsford Smith tried out his Lockheed plane to-day and admitted that it attained a speed of ISS miles an hour. He intends to fly to England, which he says will be cheaper than by sending the machine by steamer.
