The remarkable discovery of a natural cave abode of a primitive man of the stone age has been made in Russia in the neighbourhood of Kharatoul, on the slopes of the Caucasus. The cave, which was found at a height of about 250 feet up the mountain side, contained numerous flint and bone implements and the fragments of skeletons of huge animals such as the primitive bull and the cave bear.
THE POPULAR PRINCESS TART This is a great favourite amongst Feather-Flake users. Take Jib FetherFlake, jam or stewed fruit. Custard: 1 teacup milk, 1 dessertspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon flour, 2 egg yolks. Mix yolks, flour, and sugar together, add milk, pour on to plate lined with Fether-Flake. Bake in moderate oven about half-hour. Spread with jam or stewed fruit. Pile two stiffly beaten whites of eggs on top and bake a pale brown. Fether-Flake is puff pastry ready to bake.
