After being laid up at Auckland for some months the steamer Pakura left for Lyttelton on-June 16 to be converted Into a motor vessel and fitted with Diesel engines. The Awahou and Pukeko, also of the Richardson Line, were converted from coal about three years ago. The steamer Tees, which has been laid up at Lyttelton since May 23, is to be recommissioned, and is to sail to-morrow with passengers and cargo for the Chatham Islands. She will call at Waitangl, Owenga, Kaingaroa and Pitt Island. COASTWISE MOVEMENTS. Opihl sailed yesterday for Oamaru, Timaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for .Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth. Parera sailed yesterday for Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington to complete loading for Nelson. Wanganul, New Plymouth and Port Waikato. Gale, which was delayed by rain on Wednesday, sailed last evening for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Wanganul. Port Whangarel sailed yesterday for Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington to complete loading for Tauranga, Auckland and Whangarel. Wingatul is due at Dunedin to-morrow morning from Auckland, via ports, to discharge and load general cargo. She is timed to sail on Monday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. Waimarino Is expected to leave Auckland tomorrow for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. She should arrive at this port on June 29. Breeze has been fixed to load at Dunedln on Monday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, Wanganul and New Plymouth. CARGO FROM AUSTRALIA. The Union Company advises that the Gabriella has been fixed to load at Grafton on July 12 and Newcastle about July 14 for Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedln. THE CANADIAN CRUISER. Messrs H. L. Tapley and Co. advise that the, Canadian Cruiser is now due at Dunedin tomorrow from Halifax, via Australian ports and Bluff to discharge Canadian cargo and load products. The Walhemo, which has been held up at San Francisco since May 11 by the strike on the Pacific coast, Is to leave there to-day for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australian ,ports, via Nukualofa. She Is due at Auckland about July 17. MELBOURNE CARGO SERVICE. The Union Company advises that the Wainul is due at Dunedln on July 3 from Melbourne, via Bluff. After discharge she will load general cargo for Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. The Wainui will be replaced in the MelbourneSouth Island-Wellington cargo service by the new steamer Waltaki. THE TAXKER FILEFJELL. The Shell Oil Company advises that the tanker Filefjell, from Balikpapan, will not come to Dunedin to discharge v motor spirit. The Filefjell arrived at Auckland on Thursday, and will complete discharge at Wellington and Lyttelton. \ PERSONAL ITEMS. Captain W. D. Cameron has resumed command of the Rangatira, relieving Captain B. B. Irwin. Mr A. R. Wills has been appointed assistant purser on the Rangatira. RARANGA'S ITINERARY. I The Shaw, Savill Company has received I cabled advice that the Baranga left Townsville last Saturday for Port where she Is due on Sunday to commence Homeward loading. She will later complete at Timaru, Lyttelton, Napier and Auckland. The Raranga is to clear Auckland finally on July 11 for Southampton and London, via Cape Horn, Montevideo and Teneriffc. - NAPIER REGULATIONS. A recent Gazette notice published by the Marine Department instructs masters of vessels as to the different bearing of beacons to be observed when entering or leaving the port of Napier. The revised instructions are given in detail and also warn masters that the dredge Whakakarlre Is working on the Napier breakwater harbour. ,
