SACRIFICED HIS LIFE

Crone, deputy-coroner for West Middlesex, at the inquest lately on Herbert George Lovering, aged 20, salesman, of East Barnet. Lovering was motor cycling when an old man, Henry RawlingS, stepped into the road. He swerved to avoid the man, but struck, him, and his cycle then skidded. Lovering fell under an oncoming motor car. and was fatally injured. A verdict of " Accidental death " was returned, and both the motor car driver and Lovering were exonerated from blame. Rawlings, who received a fractured shoulder, was in hospital, and making satisfactory progress.
