TRAINING AT STAFF COLLEGE DOMINION OFFICER NOMINATED. (Special to Daily Times.) WELLINGTON, June 20. As an important step in the develop mont of tho Royal New Zealand Air Force the Government has decided to nominate Flight-lieutenant A. de T. Nevill to ‘Undergo the next course of training at the Royal Air Force Staff College at Andover, to commence in January- next. Flight-lieutenant Nevill will leave for England immediatey. The Minister of Defence (Mr J. G. Cobbe) stated to-day that in the intervening months to the opening of the staff college Flight-lieutenant Nevill would bo employed on matters connected with the provision of the technical equipment required for the Royal New Zealand Air Force. That equipment involved the fitting of wireless navigational and armament gear into the bomber aircraft recently ordered by the Government, and provided in addition the workshop equipment necessary for the maintenance of the machines. The training the officer was to receive, the Minister added, would be valuable to the development of the Dominion’s Air Force. Flight-lieutenant Nevill at present holds the appointment of stall’ officer to the Director of Air Services and . Controller of Civil Aviation (Major T. M. Wilkes). He qualified at the staff college entrance examination in January, 1932. He is a graduate of the New Zealand University (B.Sc. degree), and is an associate member of the Institute of Aeronautical Engineers.
