SOUTH ISLAND TRIAL
Considerable interest is beinpr taken in tbe South Island trial match, to be played at the Show Grounds, Oamaru,. on Wednesday, June 27, and judging by the requests for reservation of seats already received by the North Otago Rugby Union, to which the New Zealand Union has delegated the making of arrangements, there promises to be s very large attendance of members of South Island Unions and football The Oval is in perfect order for big football, and from this match will be selected the South Island team to play the North Island at Auckland on July 7, from which in turn will be selected the All Blacks to tour Australia. The curtain-raiser will be provided between St. Kevin's College and Waitaki_ Boys’ High School, and the big game will commence at 2 p.m. Oamaru business premises will be closed for the occasion, and patrons are advised to reserve grand stand seats at Begg’a, Oamaru, without booking fee. Admission charges are advertised in this issue.
