FIRES
CHIMNEYS ABLAZE. The, City Fire Brigade turned out. at 9.11 a.m. yesterday ,to a chimney lire in Cumberland street, ( a similar outbreak in Newport street, Belleknowes, being dealt with shortly after 5 o’clock in the afternoon. . ' . DWELLING DAMAGED. The City Fire Brigade received a call at ,3.5 p.m. yesterday to . 54 Albany street, whore fire bad broken out'id ,a dwelling,at the rear of a shop occupied by Mr F. Boyland, who is also the owner of.the property. The.fire had a firm hold when the brigade arrived and two rooms were badly gutted,'but the outbreak was prevented from spreading to the shop. The shop and dwelling were insured in Lloyd’s, but the . contents were not covered ,by insurance.
