THE LEEDS TOURNAMENT PADGHAM DEFEATS BREWS. LONDON, June 8. In the semi-finals of the Leeds professional golf tournament Brews defeated Bond, 3 and 2, and Padgham defeated Toorc, 3 and 2. Padgham at one period looked like being beaten by Toore. The diminutive Spaniard was two up at the eighth, but Padgham applied the pressure and won at the sixteenth, after winning four consecutive holes. Brews, a 35-year-old Londoner ani a son of the former professional at Blackheath, went to South Africa and won the open championship of South Africa six times.
