(Received June 10, at 6.35 p.m.) There will probably 'be many new faces in the Tasmanian Parliament as the outcome of yesterday’s general election, the complete returns- of which will not be known for several days, A, The Nationalist Government, now, ltd by Sir Waltcp Lee, which is the only Government that lias retained'.office during the depression iu Australia,. is likely to have a close call. on this, occasion, Labour having, won. seats in the Bass, Denison dud Franklin electorates. It is not expected that the Government will have a majority of. more than two, and it may even be a tie. All the Ministers except Mr E. Hobbs, an honorary Minister, are safe, : The candidates numbered 77, of whom 41 are Nationalists, 27 Endorsed Labour, and two Federal Labour (who have already, been heavily defeated), and seven Independents. .’ ■
