OUTRAGE AND SABOTAGE PRINCE STARHEMBERG THREATENED (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) VIENNA, June 9. (Received June 10, at 8 p.m.) An infernal machine, sufficiently powerful to destroy a whole storey,, was found in the office of the vicechancellor, Prince, Starhemberg. The rooms were being re-decorated by a carpenter, who made the discovery. Ihe bomb contained five pounds of dynamite, and there was a time device set to make it explode when Prince Starhemberg was expected to inspect the work. The episode, according, to reports, adds another to the many outrages suspected to be due to the Nazis or the Socialists, who are suspected of a desire to ruin Austrian tourist traffic and force the Government into greater expenditure, ~-i The police guarding the railway bridge at Lueg were fired on from the mountain side, one being killed and others seriously. Injured. . Other sabotage includes a railway line blown up at Krems, and the destruction in the Danube Valley of steamer wharves. Bomb explosions have also occurred at an agricultural college and at the house of the theatrical producer, Max Reinhardt. There have been scores of arrests, Outrages, have also taken place at Innsbruck, where a pipe conducting the water supply to produce electricity for the Arlberg Electric Railway was blown up in three places, and the house of the leader of the patriotic front at Kappenberg was destroyed. TRAIN STOPPED IN TIME . RAILWAY BRIDGES DESTROYED. VIENNA, June 8. (Received June 10, at 6.30 p.m.) A serious accident to the Paris-Vienna express , was narrowly averted when it was stopped at 2 a.m. near Salzburg, where the railway bridge had been blown up a few minutes earlier. Unconfirmed reports have been received that other bridges have been destroyed on the Austriah south and west main lines.
