Preparations are being made at Sanderhausen, Harz, in Germany, for a festival of 400,000 roses, to be held on June 30 and July 1. Nine thousand varieties of rose will be on vMew. Last year the Rosarium of the city, the largest rose garden in Europe, created a sensatipn by producing the first black rose in the world. Known .as Nigrette, it wa s seen by thousands of visitors. ; . ....
