ALEXANDRA ROSE DAY
PROCEEDS MOUNTING. (British Official Wireless.) . RUGBY, June 7. (Received June 7, at 5.5 p.m.) Alexandra Rose Day will be observed on June 18 for the twenty-third time. It is expected that the collections from the sale of artificial roses this year will bring the total amount obtained through this celebration for hospitals and charities for the sick to more than £2.000,000. While the general response to Flag Day appeals hns diminished because of competition to share their benefits the sate of Alexandra roses has been fully maintained, not only in the United Kingdom but throughout the Empire.
