CENSORSHIP OF BOOKS
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —In itself the letter of “Liberty” contains nothing on the subject of the censorship of bools that merits reply, but it does make doubly plain the type of individual who inspires and supports the atrocious censorship under which we suffer to-day. These fanatics claim to order and compel the manner of our twentieth ceiltury living. The pity of it is that presumably modern and civilised men in authority listen to such exhortations for censoring the literature of intelligent people.—l am, etc., E. W. F.
