GOOD TEMPLARY

The Hope o,f Dunedin Lodge met on May 16, Sis. Mrs Beath, C.T., presiding. Visitors were:—Bro. Dalton, district councillor; Bro. Hilton, district superintendent of juveniles' 'works, and Bro. Gillan, of the Hope of Caversham Lodge. The election of officers resulted as follows: — C.T.. Bro. Buckley; V.T., Sis. So.uth; chaplain, Sis. Wright; treasurer, Sis. Beath; secretary, Bro. Williams; marshal, Bro. Ellis; guard, Bro. Thomson. Two members applied for their district degree. The programme 'of social events for the year was adopted. A good report on the Silver Star Temple was given by Sis. Wright and Bro. South. The Hope of Caversham Lodge held the weekly session on Thursday evening. The C.T., Bro. Seque, presided over a fair attendance of members and visitors from the Hope of Dunedin Lodge. The programme for the evening being " Educational Night," a very interesting amount of work was done, several papers being read by members. The Star of Freedom Lodge met on May 7. Sis. Mrs Flett, C.T., presided. Visitors were present from Hope of Caversham and Hope of Dunedin Lodges. Letters were received inviting members to attend the memorial service 'to the late Bro. Stanley on May 24 at Caversham, and also to the district meeting on May 22. Bro. A. Scott reported on visiting the Star of Victory Temple. The following contributed to the harmony:—Organ solo, Sis. Robinson; reading. Sis. Mrs Flett; recitation, Sis. Mrs Beath; trio, Sisters J. and A. Duff and Williamson; reading, Sis. Williamson; talks, 'Sis. Mrs Giles, D.C.T., and Sis. Mrs Beath.
