A woman who became so fond of two pigmy marmosets—the smallest monkeys in the world—that she could not bear to be parted from them, reclaimed them recently from the London Zoo, to which they were given only a 'few days previously. She is Mrs Jack Burns, whose husband recently brought her the monkeys from Brazil. These tiny creatures are not much bigger than a good-sized mouse, and measure only a little more than four inches in length, excluding the tail. Monkeys and Moko, as the marmosets have been named, are a very rave species, extremely delicate, and have to be kept in a warm -atmosphere. They are tawny in colour, with long hair on the top of the head. Their tails are ringed with dark and light fur. One, the smaller of the two, is not yet oW enough to feed itself, and chopped fruit, meal worms, milk, and special vitamised food are given to it by hand.
