DEVOTION OF A DOG
MASTER'S BODY GUARDED The faithfulness of a cattle dog toward its master was illustrated at Win gello, New South Wales, recently by its reluctance to leave his dead body. A farmer named Yates, agert 72. col lapsed and died in his house suspicious of his father's absence from burning-off operations on the farm, Mr Yates's son searched for him and found the old man lying dead near a fire. The dog resented the efforts of the police and ambulance attendants to remove the body, and had to be tied up outside the house before they could do so.
