SPANISH CHAMPIONSHIPS THE FINALS DECIDED. VALENCIA, May 18. Enrique Maier and his sister won the All-Spanish tennis titles. Maier beat his Davis Cup team-mate, Sindreu, in the Singles final, won the Doubles with Sindreu, and won the Mixed Doubles with his sister, who defeated: Senorita Pons in the Women's Singles, and with Senorita Chavarri, won the doubles, beating Senorita Pons and Senorita Morales, DAVIS CUP CONTESTS. AUSTRIA ELIMINATED. PARIS, May 19. (Received May 20, at 5.5 p.m.) France eliminated Austria from the Davis Cup contest. Borotra and Brugnon defeated Artens and Metaxa, 4—6, (i—3, o—3, o—4. Borotra had not arrived at 3.30, when the Doubles were due to start, and it was decided to wait for three minutes. Borotra arrived at 3.35, but Artens, the Atistria.il captain, refused to play, and claimed the match, upon which the match was awarded to Austria. Artens 10 minutes later changed his mind, and the match was begun. SWITZERLAND BEATS INDIA. LUCERNE, May 19. (Received May 20, at 5.5 p.m.) Switzerland eliminated India. Fisher and Steiner defeated Bhandari and Captain Browne, o—3, 6 —o, o—l.
