The Port Melbourne, which was due at Wellington on Saturday from Napier to complete Homeward loading, Is to leave the northern port to-day for London, via. Cape Horn. The Nobel auxiliary schooner Hula, which reached Melbourne on May 13 from Auckland, was to sail for Sydney on May 17. From Sydney the vessel will return to Melbourne to load for Fremantle and from Frcmantle she will return again to Melbourne to load for Brisbane, Cairns and Auckland. COASTWISE MOVEMENTS. Storm, sailed on Saturday evening for Tlmaru, Lyttelton and Wellington to complete loading for, Picton, Wanganul and New Plymouth. Breeze Is due at Dunedin to-morrow from Bluff to load for Tlmaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, Wanganui and New Plymouth. Walplata Is now due at Dunedin to-morrow morning from Bluff, and will sail In the afternoon for Tlmaru. Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. Holmglen, which arrived on Friday afternoon from Wellington, was delayed by bad weather, the ship being compelled to shelter at Oamaru on Thursday night. She sailed on Saturday for Wellington, Nelson, Wanganul and New Plymouth, via ports. ■ Gale has been fixed to load at Dunedin on Friday for Tlmaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Wanganul. Oplhi, which arrived here yesterday from Wellington, will sail this afternoon for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth, via ports. NARBADA DUE TO-MORROW. ' The Union Company advises that the Narbada Is expected to leave Lyttelton this afternoon for Dunedin. She is duo to-morrow and after discharging cargo from Calcutta and other Eastern ports will sail on Wednesday for Newcastle, Java and Calcutta. MATAROA FROM LONDON. The local agents for the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company have received advice ■ that the Mataroa, from London, is expected to arrive at Wellington on Thursday. She will then proceed to Lyttelton and Port Chalmers to discharge cargo. The Mataroa is due at this port on May 30. AVELONA STAR TO LOAD. Messrs H. L. Tapley and Co. advises that the Avelona Star Is due at Port Chalmers about May 25 from Bluff to continue Homeward loading. She will sail about May 28 for Lyttelton. KANNA LAID UP. Owing to the slackness of trade the Kanna has been withdrawn from commission at Auckland. The crew was paid off on May 15. WINTON FROM NEW YORK. The A. and A. Line chartered steamer Wlnton arrived at Wellington on Saturday morning from Auckland to continue dlschargo of her New York cargo. She Is to leave Wellington to-morrow for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australia to complete discharge. WAIKAWA FROM PACIFIC COAST. The Union Company's freighter Waikawa arrived at Dunedin on Saturday from the Pacific coast of America, via the Cook Islands and northern ports. She was berthed at the Victoria wharf to discharge Canadian and American cargo, which was loaded at Vancouver, New Westminster, Powell River, Ocean Falls, San Francisco and Los Angeles. The vessel sailed from the last-named port on April 14, and arrived at Auckland on May 9. Part cargo was discharged at Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelton. The Waikawa is to sail tn-day for Bluff and Australian ports to complete discharge. She will load at Melbourno on May 31 and Newcastle on June 9 for Auckland, and will leave the northern port on June 15 for Lautoka, Suva, Apia and Vancouver. WAIKOUAITI FROM AUSTRALIA. The Watkoualtl arrived at Dunedin on Saturday morning from Newcastle and Sydney, via Bluff, and was berthed at the Rattray street wharf to discharge general cargo. The freight includes transhipments ex the following vessels:—Shirala, Dimboola, Talune, Marella, Orsova, Orungal, Baradine, Strathaird, Mongolia, Nankin, Orama, Monte Plana, Changte, Yaye Maru, Temeraire, Remo, Mareeba. Knranui, Tamon Maru, Tanda. Ormonde. The Walkoualtl is to sail to-morrow for Lyttelton and Tlmaru to complete discharge. She will proceed thence to Bluff, Sydney and Newcastle. MARINE DEPARTMENT NOTICES. The Marine Department has discontinued the practice of republishing ordinary notices to mariners received from other countries. MARIPOSA FOR SYDNEY. The Oceanic Company's liner Mariposa, from San Francisco and Los Angeles, via Honolulu, Pago Pago and Suva, arrived at Auckland on Friday morning. She sailed on Friday evening for Sydney and Melbourne. ABEL TASMAN IN PORT. ■The intercolonial steamer Abel Tasman arrived yesterday from New Soutii Wales ports via Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelton. She will discharge general cargo and hardwood poles to-day, and Is expected to sail this evening for Bluff, Greymouth and Sydney. KALINGO WITH AUSTRALIAN CARGO. The Union Company's steamer Kalingo arrived at Dunedin yesterday from Australia, via northern port 3, and was berthed at the Birch street wharf to discharge a quantity of general cargo. The freight was loaded at Clarence River, Newcastle and Sydney, part cargo being unloaded at Auckland, Wellington, and Lyttelton. The Kalingo is to sail to-day for Greymouth. A LARGE CARGO. The Blue Star Line steamer Sultan Star, which recently made a record trip of 29* days from Auckland to London, carried a very large cargo. She took 2653 quarters of chilled beef, more than 10,000 carcasses of mutton, about •10,000 carcasses of lamb, and nearly 8000 quarters of frozen beef. In addition she had on board more than 50,000 cases of apples and pears, 28,000 boxes of butter, and 15,000 crates of cheese. Other cargo was comprised largely of boneless beef and veal, pork, wool, skins, tallow, casein, kauri gum, milk powder, and preserved meats. The Sultan Star arrived at Loudon last week-end.
