KENSINGTON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
BAND OF HOPE. The opening meeting of the Kensington Band of Hope was held on Wednesday evening. The Rev. J. M. Simpson presided over a good attendance of young people and several adults. The speaker for the evening was Mr J. Dickson. A very enjoyable programme of instrumental, vocal and elocutionary items followed. Those contributing were: Instrumental items —Misses Paterson, Sims and Panting, Messrs .Moore Bros; recitations—Misses E. Holly, Dorothy Fraser, Dora Merry and Nancy M'Kay; novelty item, Betty and Frances Ross; vocal tr jo—Misses Doreen Timlin, Mavis Wood and E. Grant; solo, Mr F. Young; playette, members of the Boys' Brigade.
