DUNEDIN SAVINGS BANK

GRANTS OF £7OOO MADE LARGE SUM FOR MATERNITY HOSPITAL At a meeting of the trustees of the Dunedin Savings Bank yesterday afternoon it was decided to make a grant of £6OOO to the Qtago Hospital Board as a contribution to the cost of building a new maternity hospital in connection with the Medical School, the grant being provisional on the acceptance by the Government of the proposals which have been submitted to it by the Hospital Board relative to the finance of the undertaking. Nine grants of smaller amounts were also decided upon at the meeting, the largest of these being to the Salvation Army.
