There was a continuation of wintry weather in Dunedin yesterday. The conditions were very unsettled, rain falling at intervals throughout the day and evening. ■ A light south-west wind was blowing, _ making the atmosphere cold, the maximum temperate being 45 degrees. The barometer was fairly steady, the readings ranging between 30.20 and 30.15. CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, May, 7. Fine weather with passing clouds prevailed to-day, but a moderate south-west wind made conditions cold in the shade. The barometer is steady at 29.95 inches. WELLINGTON. May 7. The weather was clear to cloudy in the morning and dull and showery during the afternoon. A cold southerly breeze prevailed. The temperature at 4 p.m. was 46.2 degrees and the maximum during the day 50.7. CHRISTCHURCH, May 7. The weather to-day was overcast and showery with the prospect of more rain to-night. The rainfall for this year is 13.32 inches, compared with 4.35 inches for the corresponding period last year. The maximum temperature to-day was 48.6 and the minimum 41.5.
