MAN CHARGED .WITH MANSLAUGHTER A VERDICT OF GUILTY. (Per United Press Association.) TJMARU, April 24. In the Supreme Court to-day Harry Kummerly, an inmate of the Ashburton Old Men’s Home, was found guilty on a charge of manslaughter. Kammcrly and another inmate, Alfred James Ellen, quarrelled on the morning of February 19 in the home concerning the shutting of a window. In evidence it was alleged that Ellen threatened Kammcrly. who threw a cribbago board, striking Ellen on the head. The latter died in hospital four days later. The accused was remanded for sentence.
