NO ANXIETY IN JAPAN STATEMENT BY MR HIROTA (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) TOKIO, March 13. Mr Hirota told a Lower House committee that the Japanese Government did not entertain the slightest anxiety regarding the Singapore base, the necessity for which would disappear when Far Eastern peace was firmly established. He said that the Anglo-Japanese alliance had lapsed, but its spirit mutually remained.
The Lower House passed the Budget providing 21,000,000 yen for farm relief.
