(From: Oub Own Correspondent.) KUROW, March-14, LAWN TENNIS.

A very enjoyable match was played at Waitaki Hydro between the Publfc Works staff and Kurow Club. Due to the weather, the match was abandoned with the staff having won eight sets to Kurow's six. KUROW SCHOOL COMMITTEE. The monthly meeting of the Kurow District High School Committee was held on Monday evening, the chairman (Mr J. R. Jackson) presiding. Accounts totalling £5 10s were passed for payment, and authority was given for the expenditure of £6 on books for the school. The Visiting Committee reported that repairs of a varied nature at the different schools were required, and it was resolved that these be attended to immediately. The question of infant class rooms was again discussed at some length. It was decided to seek the advice and assistance of the Otago Education Board. PERSONAL. Mr Joseph Condon, of Kurow, left this morning for Wellington, where he will sail on the Wanganella. He will join the Ceramic at Sydney en route for South Africa.
